Fabrice′s Black Tabletop: borrowed items remote sensing
Fabrice Delauré Productions proudly presents its latest product "Fabrice′s Black Tabletop". It benefits from the latest technology in modern microelectronics! For this effect, you will use objects borrowed directly from the audience! Place up to 6 items on a Black Tabletop of simple aspect. You can choose between four different types of effects:
Cover the 6 borrowed items (e.g.: lighter, cell phone, lipstick...) with 6 completely opaque paper cups. Keep a respectful distance from the table (up to 30 metres) and ask the onlookers to secretly remove one of the concealed items. In spite of the distance, you can instantly reveal which item was removed!
The opposite is also possible. Place the 6 empty cups up on the table and ask a spectator to place a personal item underneath one of the six cups while you are in another room under the supervision of a spectator. Without having any visual contact with the tabletop, and from a distance, you instantly know which cup conceals the item!
Request up to 6 objects to the audience. These items are placed on the tabletop. No need to cover them up with cups since you move away and turn your back to the table. Ask the first spectator to put an item into his pocket. Then, ask the second one to pocket another item and so on till the last spectator. You can immediately reveal who has taken what!
Here is the most intriguing effect. Six regular playing cards are removed from a borrowed pack. The 6 different cards are placed either faces upwards or downwards. Standing away from the table, without seeing anything, ask a spectator to magnetize one of the six cards by brushing it with the shadow of his hand. HE DOES NOT DIRECTLY TOUCH THE CARD! Even so, you guess which card was magnetized!
6 capacity sensors are concealed inside the tabletop. They detect every time an item is put down or taken back up from the tabletop and transmit the result to a radio receiver with a display. The transmission is completely encrypted and encoded.
Tabletop batteries life: 5 hours under continuous use with four 1.5 Volt batteries.The tabletop is 43 x 31 x 1.5 cm and looks totally ordinary. It is made with finest felt cloth. Obviously, the tabletop can be used for close-up performances and can be given in order to be checked. No bulky table to move or assemble. This object is very light and can be taken wherever you go just like a regular card tabletop.
The receiver, concealed inside a Bicycle cards case, has a backlit screen. So you can easily see its display in the dark. You can carry it yourself (in your jacket pocket for example), hide it underneath a table or have it carried by your assistant who will let you know the result.
The receiver can be used up to 30 metres away from the tabletop. The waves are encoded and encrypted to ensure security during the radio transmission. The batteries are replaced by removing one of the rods from the frame of the tabletop. No external button switch.
